Letter-bag.net

Letter-bag.net allows players at separate physical locations to share the same virtual bag of Scrabble tiles for remote play over a video or voice call.

To start, select a letter distribution (currently there's just one):

Manual

Letter-bag.net is free for anyone to use.

It works best if each location has a copy of the game board. On most Scrabble boards the rows are labelled 1 to 15 and the columns A to O. These axes can be used to identify and communicate the tile plays to the other players.

NB: remember to check that the board at each location has the axes labelled in the same orientation.

Each location should empty their physical letter bag and place the tiles face up, and from there copy opponents' plays onto the board and their tiles selected by Letter-bag.net into their own rack.

Only the state of the letters remaining in the bag is stored on the server. It is the responsibility of each player to keep track of the letters they have drawn and played. The system should be robust against sensible/accidental use of the browser Back button.

Games are deleted from the server after 7 days if no change is made during that period.
